The Red Bay High School Tiger Branch of Community Spirit Bank is officially open! We celebrated this milestone with a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony along with school and community leaders and our Tiger Tellers.
The Tiger Branch is a student-led financial literacy center that will allow RBHS students and faculty to carry out banking transactions and learn more about banking in everyday life. It is our hope this branch will further financial education to all grades, elementary through senior high. The Tiger Branch will be used to help bring banking to the classroom by teaching valuable money management skills and not be open to the general public, (per Section 303.46 of the FDIC Rules and Regulations.)
Many people played a role in making this possible, and it is our sincere hope they are as proud of this project as we are.
Thank you to Mr. Kenny Sparks and Mr. Scott Wiginton for bringing forward this idea and allowing us the opportunity to participate.
Thank you to Mrs. Sarah Hardin, Micha Jackson, in addition to former asst. principal Jeff Madden, for their time and support throughout this entire project. As well as the entire Red Bay faculty, staff and students for their patience during the branch construction.
Our appreciation goes out to Shane McNeil of McNeil Construction and his staff for all their hard work and our own Mike Montgomery who oversaw the project on behalf of the bank.
And a special thank you to our student ‘Tiger Tellers’. They have worked diligently throughout their training and we are proud to have this team on board.
On behalf of the directors, employees, shareholders and officers of Community Spirit Bank, we are so proud of this facility and look forward to hearing of the experiences and learning that will take place here for generations to come.
Community Spirit Bank is an Equal Housing Lender and Member FDIC.
